Double Matured

With a wealth of experience producing top quality Armagnacs dating back to 1865, Maison Gelas set out 15 years ago to specialise in a new technique: Double Cask Maturation. This technique sees the Armagnac spend additional time ageing in a second oak barrel, which will previously have been used to age sweet or fortified wines, allowing a complex array of flavours to be imparted.
Today, Maison Gelas innovates by presenting a range of rare rums, whiskies and eaux de vies with maturation in Armagnac casks. This additional maturation helps to expand the aromatic and flavour profiles of the range.
